CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) TRAVEL UPDATE

What does coronavirus (COVID-19) mean for Ntanda Ventures. We want to let you know what we are currently doing with existing bookings and future travel.

We are fortunate to have a home office for our Zambian based team in lovely large gardens, out of the hustle and bustle of town. Since we are also on a small working farm with its own little butchery  we decided to plant new bigger veggie garden now that the rains have finished. This also means there will be extra food for our staff and their families as cost of basic food has become very expensive in the last 8 weeks.

The team are in touch with all our agents and clients and happily I can report all our trips have been delayed and reconfirmed for later dates. None of the bookings incurred any penalties or losses to our clients! We are very fortunate and grateful to have excellent relationships with our lodges and suppliers. Round of applause for all of them in these tough times.

There is so much information out there and this changes daily so we won’t be releasing any blanket statements or a new policy. Our company policy is always try to make any changes that are affected by Covid-19  at no extra cost/loss wherever possible to all our clients. Since every supplier has its own policy we will work with you and go through every booking on an individual basis.

Zambia currently requires a 14-day quarantine before you can travel within Zambia, so we do not recommend any travel currently. Postpone for now until the ban is lifted.

We have worked very hard on our website, creating new itineraries and new content. Please feel free to share your ideas, we would love to hear from you so we can plan your 2021 safari of a lifetime.

Terms & Conditions

Important Notes

Hotel check-in time is generally 14:00 and check-out time is 12:00. To guarantee an early check-in or late check-out service, please inform us and we will apply the surcharge.

Ntanda Ventures Limited does everything to provide accurate quotes for all our travel products, however, fares and rates for airline tickets, hotels and other travel service providers fluctuate regularly. We recommend immediate payment to guarantee quotes. Rates will be rechecked at time of payment and any increase (fares, rates, taxes, errors etc.) is due and payable regardless of earlier quotations.

Health and Insurance

The tour price does not include personal insurance. It is a requirement for travellers to have comprehensive personal travel insurance before your departure to Zambia covering  the cost of medical evacuation by air if needed, hospitalization & repatriation; baggage loss and loss of funds through cancellation or curtailment of package booked.

There are many exciting excursions and activities (with an element of risk) within Zambia, so medical insurance with repatriation is of paramount importance.

Documentation

You will need a passport valid for six months and an appropriate visa to enter Zambia (preferably with a minimum of 2 blank pages).

Please obtain a multiple entry visa or KAZA visa. The KAZA UNIVISA costs USD 50 and allows tourists to obtain one visa to visit both countries multiple times. The visa is valid up to 30 days as long as the holder remains within Zambia and Zimbabwe. It also covers those who visit Botswana for day-trips through Kazungula Borders. (you may need a multiple entry visa for Zambia.)

Botswana: Minors travelling through the country’s borders will be required to produce certified copies of unabridged birth certificates. In the event that one parent is not travelling with the child, the other parent’s affidavit consenting to such travel should be availed. Temporary guardianship must be given if both parents are not travelling with the minor. However, an affidavit will not be required if the father’s name does not appear on the child’s birth certificate. (please confirm updated information at the time of travel)

Ntanda Ventures Limited cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct visa documentation.
