You may think that you've seen it all when traveling through Africa, but there's one place where the Big Five roam free and rare as gold. The Mosi-oaTunya National Park is home to many wild animals like African buffalo, impala zebras giraffes Warthogs and endangered White Rhinos! If your trip brings you this far upstream from Victoria Falls then make sure you experience a walking safari, a once in a lifetime chance for an up close encounter with white Rhino’s.

Kuomboka is a word in the Lozi language which literally means ‘to get out of water’. Among the traditional ceremonies, this takes place at the end of the rainy season, when the upper Zambezi River floods the plains of the Western Province. The festival celebrates the move of the Litunga, king of the Lozi people, from his compound at Lealui in the Barotse flood plain of the Zambezi River to Limulunga on higher ground.
Mukuni Village Tour: With a population of about 5000, Mukuni is a real village with real Leya people living their lives. You will learn about their livelihoods, culture, and see Chief Mukuni’s Palace. You can also pre-arrange with the local community to have a taste of the traditional food and beer. (2-3 hours)
Musokotwane Village Trip: Full day Experience a full African village experience during your day, including language and cooking lessons, lunch, food shopping, house tour, kraals, dam and springs visits, time in the village gardens and viewing a community support village project. The history of Zambia’s small yet significant Jewish community is a personal passion for Peter Jones, an owner of The River Club. His enthusiasm for the subject has led him on a journey from the past to the present and along the way, Peter decided that The River Club would offer guests the opportunity to visit the Victoria Falls, while remaining observant.
Both kitchens are laid out according to kosher rules. All cutlery, crockery, utensils, equipment etc are stored permanently in these kitchens and used only for Kosher catering. All food and ingredients are strictly kosher.

Sonja at Ntanda was an absolute pleasure to work with and played a huge role in making our trip through Zambia and Zimbabwe such an incredible experience. From our first conversations, she took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and created an itinerary that felt genuinely tailored to us rather than pulled from a standard package.
As a serious photographer and videographer, my needs are often different from those of a typical safari traveler. Having the right guides, enough room for equipment, flexibility in the daily schedule, and the ability to spend additional time with a particular subject can completely change the experience. Sonja understood all of this. Her assistance with the logistics, including arranging private vehicles and guides, was spot-on and allowed me to focus on capturing the trip rather than worrying about the details.
The itinerary itself was thoughtfully paced and gave us the opportunity to experience a wonderful range of landscapes, wildlife, lodges, and activities across both countries. The accommodations and guides were excellent, the transfers were well coordinated, and everything worked together seamlessly. Even with a fairly complex itinerary, we always felt that the trip had been carefully considered and that we were in capable hands.
Most importantly, the experience never felt generic. Sonja listened to what mattered to us and translated that into a truly memorable journey. The trip exceeded our expectations, both photographically and as an overall travel experience. I would highly recommend Sonja and Ntanda, particularly to photographers, filmmakers, or anyone looking for a thoughtfully planned and highly personalized African itinerary.
A beautiful and tranquil place to stay
A beautiful and tranquil place to stay. A friend came to join our small family too.
We absolutely loved our stay at Livingstone Place. The property is beautiful, spacious and incredibly tranquil, with two lovely bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, a large and comfortable lounge, and a very well-equipped kitchen. The pool area was gorgeous, with plenty of sunbeds — the perfect place to relax and read a book after a day of exploring.
The location was fantastic and very central, making it easy for us to get to all of the activities and highlights in the area, including Devil’s Pool, Victoria Falls and Elephant Café. Despite being so conveniently located, the house felt wonderfully peaceful and private, and we felt very safe and secure throughout our stay.
The service was also excellent. Having someone available to clean the house and do our laundry made such a difference and meant we could completely relax and enjoy our time there.
All in all, Livingstone Place feels like a home away from home. It was comfortable, peaceful, incredibly well located and had everything we could have wished for. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Livingstone.
Sadly the 9-day Zambian part of our trip is over, and all five of us would like to thank Christina at Ntanda for organising such a wonderful experience for us. All the logistics and connections worked perfectly.
We loved both safari camps but particularly Flatdogs. The owners and management staff there knew our names and the service throughout was attentive without being intrusive. The menu was excellent and the Coeliac member of our group was particularly taken with the thought put in to their gluten-free menu. Our driver/guide Elias was also very skilled and great fun.
Three rivers was very different but we still enjoyed it as it was a good contrast to Flatdogs. In particular the accommodations with the sky beds were fantastic. The menu was much more limited no doubt due to the more remote location. Safari drives were also different, and the amimals much less used to the vehicles, however this did give an authentic feel though it was more challenging to get close. Our guide here Chiluba was also excellent and extremely knowlegeable,
The Royal Livingstone was a relaxing few days of luxury! Stan our driver from Safari par excellence was on time for every pickup, and the rafting, Moonbow Dinner, Devils Pool and Elephant Cafe were amazing. We couldn't pick a favourite activity as they were all so good, and varied. Despite packing all this in the timings were such that we were still able to find time just to chill out and enjoy the hotel facilities.
Finally a word for the driver who took us to Victoria Falls airport. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but he helped immensely to get us through the rather busy and chaotic border crossing into Zimbabwe in plenty of time for our flight to Capr Town.
Anyway thank you very much from all five of us. We were very impressed with the trip you put together and you can be sure that we will be recommending you to anyone we hear is going to Zambia. We hope to visit again in the near future.
