During this guided self drive safari, you will follow the Mighty Zambezi River from its source on 1500 metres high all the way to the Victoria Falls in Livingstone. During your adventure you will cross National parks, vibrant cities, many bridges and even a pontoon. Expect to see a lot of different landscapes and animals, see the quadripoint border with Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe. And be part of a wide variety of activities including, walking, kayaking, village visits and loads of game drives.

The journey begins in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. After getting your 4x4 vehicle, you will be provided with a map and all the necessary information about the route.
We will drive to the North of Zambia through the Kafue National Park, one of Africa's finest wilderness areas where you can see many different animals, including the endangered Wild dog and Busanga lions.
You have several options to stay in Kafue Natual park including Chisa Busanga Bush Camp, Mapunga camp, Shumba camp, Macbrides camp, Musekese camp, Kasonso Busanga camp, Kafue river lodge and Mozhi Camp
After Kafue we will head to the north of Zambia via the Mutanda Falls to the source of the Zambezi in Kalwelwa, Ikelenge which is also a true bird watching paradise. The source of the Zambezi is located 1500 above sea level. You can stay in the lovely Wina Wa Nzambi accommodation built on the side of the crater..
We continue our route back to the south through the Pontoon crossing. Which is a must-do adventure and a great wildlife viewing experience. As we continue towards the Western Province and the Liuwa Plains, one of Africa's oldest National Parks and known for its 30,000 numbered wildebeest migration.
From here our route will follow the Zambezi river south and east wards, we will cross 26 bridges, and pass the towns of Mongu, Sesheke and Sioma where you can see the impressive Ngwenya Falls also known as the Sioma falls. Possible accommodations to stay are Whispering Sands and the Kabula lodge.
We keep following the Zambezi river, pass the Kazangula bridge to see the quadri landpoint where Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia meet.
We continue to the end point of the guided self drive, the spectacular Victoria Falls in Livingstone. Where you could stay in lodges like Waterberry, Victoria Falls Waterfront and Maramba River Lodge. Relax at the lodge or enjoy the plenty of activities Livingstone has to offer.
